Passione, bellezza, arte. Un po’ di passione, nella vita, è fondamentale per nutrire i desideri dell’anima che tendono alla semplicità della bellezza. Una qualità dell’artista, oggi, è saper leggere sé stesso. L’arte dell’autoritratto è fondamentalmente una passione declinata in chiave di lettura e progressiva rivelazione della propria verità.
Quindi l’autoritratto è un tentativo di studiare l’immagine della propria anima, di catturare un momento nel tempo, nel mezzo di cambiamenti. L’immagine di sé diventa quasi distaccata dalla realtà, una sorta di mito fisso nel tempo, che non esiste più.
Anche la “musica fossile” è così: ogni incisione, registrazione, coglie e fotografa un attimo, e ripete all’infinito qualcosa di unico ed aleatorio, che dal vivo non si potrebbe riprodurre in maniera esattamente uguale.

I recently had the pleasure to take part in a project with Ensemble La Silva, directed by Nanneke Schaap.
As part of a cultural exchange between musicians from the Netherlandsand
Italy, La Silva presented two concert, on March 3rd and 4th, at the beautiful historical Church and Convent of Annunciation in Abbiategrasso, and at the prestigious Church of San Fedele in the center of Milan.
During rehearsals, a video of Buxtehude’s work “Membra Jesu Nostri” was filmed and it can be seen here:
The church of Abbiategrasso, featuring frescoes from Renaissance painter Bernardino Luini, was the splendid scenario to this project, which includes the presence of a consort of viola da gamba and of dancers as well.
The Church of San Fedele hosts a Cultural Center which is the home of numerous activities and animates the cultural life of Milan. It is located nearby the Duomo and for the occasion was truly overflowing with public, which came numerous and applauded the artists in a most warm way.
The choir and soloists from the Netherlands sung with great “bravura” under the direction of Nanneke Schaap, who is a virtuoso of the viola da gamba. The page of the group can be visited here:
